Molex introduces the KickStart Connector System, the first OCP-compliant, integrated power and signaling, complete solution for Boot-Drive interconnections!OCP-compliant single cable assembly with integrated power, low-speed and high-speed signaling meets the requirements of a common hardware interconnect solution to simplify server design.
Flexible and easy-to-install interconnect solution replaces multi-device applications and reduces the difficulty of managing multiple cables.Low-height design and mechanical alignment with OCP's recommended Molex's NearStack PCIe products optimizes footprint, reduces application risk and accelerates time-to-market.
Molex has further enriched its Open Compute Project (OCP) compliant solutions with the introduction of the KickStart Connector System. An innovative, full-featured interconnect system, KickStart is an OCP-compliant Boot-Drive cable interconnect solution that integrates low-speed signals, high-speed signals and power in a single cable assembly. This complete solution allows customers to avoid multiple cable assemblies, optimize space utilization, accelerate upgrades, and provide server and equipment manufacturers with a flexible, standardized, easy-to-install and easy-to-disassemble method of connecting Boot-Drive peripherals.
Junjun Cui, Director of FAE, Asia Pacific, Molex Data & Communication System Solutions Division, said:"The KickStart connector system further reinforces our goal of eliminating complexity and driving standardization in the modern data center. This OCP-compliant solution reduces risk for our customers, relieves them of the burden of validating separate solutions, and provides a faster, simpler path to server upgrades in critical data centers."
